Art of Burning

All of our scented candles are passionatly made to provide you with hours of fragrant bliss. To keep them looking and working their best (and safest), we recommend following our tips to maintain their high quality for longer.

Before burning

Trim the wick regulary. The wick should not exceed 0.5cm (1/4 inch).

During burning

Wait until the whole surface liquifys before putting out your candle.

Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, or fans, which can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel), or rapid, uneven burning.

Make sure you stop burning your candle when 1cm (1/2 inch) of wax remains at the bottom, keeping an eye on a burning candle when the wax is low. A flame burning against the glass may cause the glass to break!

After burning

Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings and matches, as debris in the wax can act as a secondary wick, encouraging your candle to burn faster.

Before the wax becomes totally solid, reposition the wicks vertically to their initial place. Long, or crooked wicks can create high flames, smoking, or sooting.

When your candle isn't in use, store in a cool dry place and cover it with an elegant candle lid to protect the quality wax from dust, which can dull its scent and cause problems during burning.

Storing candles for too long can affect the scent, so use your candle in a reasonable time to make the most of its beautiful fragrance.
